An absolutely silly request

Alright, I realize we are in the midst of a solar storm, economic meltdown, climate catastrophe, WW3, food shortage, and overal end of the world as we know it...
So, with that said, please indulge me in this absolutely ridiculous request.

Alex, would you consider giving a cool name to the 1,000 posts or more members, like "Executive Member", "Super Member", "Stellar Member", or whatever?! (or in my case -- "The Idiot Member", since I'm putting in this request, at a time when all this is going on) :D LOL LOL

Sorry, I've had a couple glasses of vino, and I just though I'd lighten up the doom while waiting for the solar storm to blow in.

My suggestion would be that all members with post counts over 1000 not have any particular description added to their username but that they always be addressed as Oh Wise One whenever responding to one of their posts.

(That'll fix 'em!)

I propose that each member has a paypal 'donate' link under every post. That way, people generating good quality posts can be rewarded for their efforts (at the whim of others, of course.) Maybe have it autosplit 70/30 with the site so it generates some money to pay the bills. :cool:

My first post on LATOC was before Katrina, but I only managed around 1800 over several years.

At my rate, I won't make 1000 posts for a long time.

I think the secret word here was 'quality' posts rather than bullshit.

Eh, you all better watch it. If your post count goes too high, someone might decide you're inappropriately corded to the site, and then poof! That happened somewhere once, I remember reading about it ;)

:D I dialed back my above reply. I wasn't able to post much during the meltdown due to my job, etc, so I still have some residual venom for certain residents of Sebastopol. However, it's largely dissipated by now, so no worries.

Back on topic, I'm all for exotic titles. 'cold fusion fanatic' 'abiotic abolitionist' or perhaps 'sextagenarian singularitarian' all sound pretty shifty to me haha
