nope. that would need to be a whole new tag.
like
{mp3} or {mp3show}
Seems a bit overkill though to not paste twice.

How about a little pop-up window after the user clicks OK, asking if they want link added?
doesnt work that way UH.
BBcode is processed when a post is Viewed. Nothing is changed going in. Therefor if i change the BBcode for (mp3) now it effects all links prior.
the decision on how a BBCODE reacts happens each time a page is loaded... forever.
Therefor there is nothing to choose going in.
Like I said, I could do it. But in order to let people use it and not have the link shown, then I would have to have 2 Codes.
I'm just a little upset that the default behavior makes me more of an outsider, that's all.
Could you at least put a border around the multimedia panes, so that I won't be presented with a totally blank message? If I can't see what i'm missing, I would at least like to know i'm missing SOMEthing.
UH, you're taking this too personally. Its not you its your IPAD. And coincidentally MY IPAD. I have the same issue.
Thank Steve Jobbs and his hardon for Adobe.
But I made the default one (with no link) in a black table border. That might help you know it's not there.
No, I know it's not personal. But it's frustrating nonetheless.
Thanks for the border!
Tell you what... I reversed them.
MP3 will show the link. This is the one most people with remember.
For those that dont want to show the link MP3HIDE will work with no link.
:-)
You're my #1 hero for life!... Until somebody complains and you have to switch it around the other way. ;)
I think the options will work for everyone. Most wont care about the link... so mp3 works.
those that do can use mp3hide and that will show a black border for those that cant see it.
It's all good.
I might have a question in a minute. Otherwise, pay me no mind. I just need some HTML examples to do some search/replace at home and then hopefully i'll have a pageful of links to old fashioned city design.

I guess I do have a question.
Is ther any difference between those two links, in any browser, y'think?
Thanks in advance.
Um they are identical.
Testing new signature. I thought it would show up in old posts, but maybe not?
I have no idea what this old video is about (it's in French), beyond something about bicycles in Paris traffic I guess. But the interesting thing is, the embed code includes an option for iPad/iPhone.
<iframe frameborder="0" width="480" height="360" src="http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/xcsexg?width=&theme=none&foreground=%23F7FFFD&high light=%23FFC300&background=%23171D1B&start=&animat edTitle=&iframe=1&additionalInfos=0&autoPlay=0&hid eInfos=0"></iframe><br /><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcsexg_velo_fun">velo</a></b><br /><i>Uploaded by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/motomecano">motomecano</a>. - <a target="_self" href="http://www.dailymotion.com/us/channel/fun">Click for more funny videos.</a></i>
Here's the page it came from:

Gosh, I was just gonna do my own. We're synchronized!
Dumb animated gif test. Anybody remember this?

Alex,
This is for you, but I'm posting it publicly so I have the option of re-editing it.
This is a video about an Egyptian general that Redreamer posted in the Government / Law / War forum. She pm'd me the raw source code (thanx Red!).*

This is the exact same video that i'm posting using standard-issue YouTube embed codes:
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sNh1Isb20tw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
How come, on the iPad, I can see my own posting just fine, but I can't see hers at all?
