PaxAm has been banned permanently

His first post back is also the first post that I have had cause to delete since his one week ban.

While my original intention was a 1 month ban for a second offense, since it was his very first post back, I think it's clear he doesnt need to be here.

And since I deleted his post, and since I dont like secrecy, I am posting a general announcement here about the banning.

I knew we wouldn't appeal to everyone. So be it. I dont have any tolerance for useless hatred and personal attacks. I hope whatever is shitty in his life gets better.

Anyway... ban = forever.

Wow! What did he do Alex. I never even read any of his posts.

He was originally banned for a week for a bunch of personal attacks and a useless stream of profanity.
Came back and on his first post went after another member and decided to jump on me as well.

um... I'm easy going but I am not a pushover.


So... all done. Moving on to important things :-)

Personal attacks are never warranted. Thanks for keeping the place "clean".

Even though I don't like the F word around ladies (a southern thing I guess) I can tolerate some profanity. It can in some cases emphasis the statement. However, personal attacks are always unjustified and should not be tolerated to any degree. If they ever start getting tolerated I won't be here. It is idiotic and childish that some simply cannot find a way to disagree without getting personal...................................Bruce

Minor update for anyone who might be wondering.. PaxAm has just now come out of a long clean-up stint in rehab.. so now maybe you can all guess just what was "shitty in his life".

That doesn't give him a pass to be a little brat.

And whats J.A.F.O. doing here anyway? It would be one thing to have him here all the time, contributing, but I am not sure if that post was supposed to be snark?

Which doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome J.A.F.O.'s posts, just wondering why he is posting now after almost two years since his last one? And coming on here to chide us?

Nothing to be sorry about, zen. I talk to J.A.F.O. all the time. As a matter of fact, just 5 minutes ago over at HA. He has never been sarcastic or inconsiderate of anybody in all the time I've known him, and I have no reason to assume he has changed by becoming a member here. If he was, rest assured that Slow-dazzle and Jock, administrators of HA, would not have appointed him to the position of Global Moderator. Keep in mind, he may know PamAm personally, or had experiences with him in the past in another forum.

Thanks for the info on PaxAm... wish him well and glad he has a home on the other forums.

JAFO is always welcome here as well.

The ban stays... I doubt PA gives it a second thought.
