Alex, if you can't import the SUSCO threads, is there a way volunteers can help in a copy-and-paste sort of way? Or would that just make life harder?

I will volunteer untold amounts of time to do such a thing that Thrivalista has suggested!!!! I'm in for it! There is too much valuable information there.

Great idea Thrivalista and Draftlady. I don't mind lending a hand with some of that either if needed.

Is the SusCo library still intact????
    Gnaws fingernails..
Of the two, Susco is the one I want. It is a bible of sustainable projects and knowledge. It is our electronic doom library of Alexandria/Ephesus/etc.
I've always tried to push interest in Susco and to get folks to participate.
But I was always comfortable, and could sleep well at night knowing that all that good stuff was there. If it could be printed out, I would love to pay for a copy.

I have access to a +10K private library here, hard copy paper, and wouldn't it be lovely to get some of those uploaded and/or available. If Susco becomes interactive, this could happen.
SusCo is for the brilliance of our co-creativity and construction, whereas SilCo is a (useful) place to put our hearts on our sleeves. Opinions are like
    .
    .
    .
elbows, we each have a couple of them.

I think it makes economic sense to do this move.
And perhaps it will free up some of your time, which is invaluable.
If there's anything I/We/You can do to help, say so...
    You're a good sysop. XOXOXO

No library is in tact (which you can see see n use at susco).
Oddly enough. That I might be able to pull over. Because the data on it is so shallow.

I built my own link library system that I might populate and hook up (via a frame or link) here. That way it's completely separate from the forum software and something I am certain I could import into and maintain completely myself (code wise).
There are 124 records in the SUSCO library. Easily exportable.

    It's on the list :-)

I like the restructuring job that was done. Keeping it simple with less redundancy works.

For those of us that are subscribed to all 3 forums, it can be a bit confusing in the search results (today's posts, auto refresh, etc).
So I have introduced icons for each of the major sections.

VB doesnt make it easy and I had to add them to each one individually but it does quickly identify which 'forum' each post belongs to.

I may tweak the icons a bit over time but will see how this works.

Maybe bring them down a bit?

Alex, wow, great job. I appreciate the work and thought you continually put into this amazing boutique of doom / doomtique.

all my favorite topics under one roof. Life is good. It reminds me of when I played the Media PA Blues Stroll many years ago. I played in a coffee house that was owned by an opthamologist who was also board certified for facial surgery. Attached to his coffee house was his eyeglass store and there was a day spa in the back. I could have had a latte, gotten new glasses, and a brazilian wax, and... more importantly get Botox injections. All under one roof.
It is never too late to have a happy childhood.

I like the newest, darker-green Susco style, thanks. The lighter green showed up kinda lime on my screen and was painful to view.

    :-)
Another change in making this collection work...
This forum (site news) has been moved into a Top Section that every registered user can see, regardless of subscription.

It will be my way of being able to get messages to all 3 groups regardless of what you may have subscribed to - or unsubscribed from.

    Carry on.
