which if you were Alex and had dreams about it . . . oh . . . I dunno.
    .
Yeah who knew I could predict the weather.

    11/11/2010
By all accounts it had been a rough winter weather wise. The east coast in particular was being hit by one Nor'Easter after another. Resources were already spread thin and it was only half way through January. The latest storm was unremarkable as storms go but it did have one historical element.

It set in motion a chain of events that would awaken a plot laid in place nearly a year ago.

The original intention behind Stuxnet was about to be revealed.

Is it time for Tug to raise the meters?
If it is to be, it is up to me.

Yeah, I would have thought at least the panic meter might go up a bar or two this week.

Uh oh - you are in danger of being admonished! We NEVER panic here - we PREP!!!!!

There is no reason to panic if you are prepped.

The meters stand, as we stand, undaunted...

I bugged out years ago, we live in the sticks...
    ..
Panic over what? The world-as-we-know-it is falling apart. This comes as no surprise to any one in this cybertribe--we have been predicting this since we signed on to the first forum in 2005/2006 (what year was it?).

Get a GOOD bike. Find a riding buddy to ride to work with. Buy a GOOD scooter. A 100 mpg scooter will use $800 worth of gas to 20,000 miles @ $4 a gallon. A typical car in the city will use $4000, so the $2000 scooter starts to make sense--get a good scooter, a Honda, or a small motorcycle.

Make sure you have a GOOD SIZED garden space this year...find some land, borrow or rent some land...

This is the year to buy LOTS of seed...five years worth, minimum...yes, germination goes down, not like we think, but some...ten year-old seed will still produce if its been kept cool and dry...

Have food that you can afford. Have multiple ways of getting around that reduce petroleum consumption. Buy the wood stove NOW. This isn't gonna let up, and wood stoves will be hard to buy come fall of 2011. March is the PERFECT month to cut next year's firewood...you can't plant, hunt, or fish in march anyway--might as well cut wood...

    Gotta go study.

    Peace...really, I mean it, PEACE

    Tug

There is a guy here selling brand new '08 150cc scooters for $795 out the door, such a deal. They are Chinese Roketas but not bad, 4 stroke air cooled, they top out at 65mph. Also do uturns very easily when roadblocks are in sight. Be sure to add a disable switch or pull the CDI to thwart the thieves. Get a regular bicycle too, even 80mpg won't cut it when there is no gas to be had.

I am an expert scooter shopper...you want the Stella, or a Kymco in the larger scooters...a Kymco or a Honda in the 50cc line...I like the Ruckus in the 50cc scooters and Kymco's 150, with an auto transmission in the 150cc line, though the Stella has a lot of loyal fans (it's an updated copy of a 1960s Vespa)...the larger Kymcos only costs bit more than the 50cc Hondas and I think that they'll last a lot longer, as well as get you around a good bit faster, especially if you live where there are hills...

Why can't you hunt or fish in March? Other than the legal reasons? Or was that it?
Turnipgirl is always right. Unless I'm right. Unless she vetos that.
