Hi. I made it. Kathyprepper here. With so many good places to visit. I'm not getting anything done. I feel like I just moved into a new place. The curtains aren't up and I can't find the tea pot but things will come together soon. For now I just need to get a feel for the place. It does help to have good neighbors.

@JBHB: you may want to check The Old Horseman's Blog for a short summary. Glad to see you here!

Hello. I am so pleased to have been directed here. It looks super and so many familiar faces. Thank you so much Alex and Mods.

Would it be possible to have a "tinfoil" section? I feel silly wearing my hat with no-where to go.

    Peace, love, light and DOOM.

i am unsure we will add a tinfoil section here, but in the mean time NZ native emeline has a right fine tin centered area on the web at

I have talked wit Emy. We might bring it back in house for her or we might just open the subject up here anyway. I just dont want to step on her toes since she was so respectful on how she went about the whole thing.

    More soon.

k wasnt sure if we wanted to inlcude it, it would make a fine inclusion however since our focus is broader than just peak oil (while peak oil is included in the general sense of doom)

yep, this isnt a peak oil only site so I think the inclusion would probably be fine. I am certainly not adverse to trying something and seeing how it works.
Just dont want to hurt em's efforts.

Thanks for the link, just registered. Emeline posted some excellent tin, I have some catching up to do.

I agree with you both, it was the variety of topics all in the one place that i always loved. It created a huge variety of views and mind sets interpreting the important news events in the world.

Some tin-foilers can connect dots that others cant see and some connect dots that aren't there. The old forum had a lovely balance of "out there" thinkers and practical skeptics.

Thank you for your replies, you are making me feel very welcome.

P.s. So that's where Mtlouie went.

Ha, that's what I was thinking quite succinctly put. I have decided that I want to try this forum, SC is great but not precisely right for me ( live in a midsized city and have to ability to go elsewhere so shall sink or swim where I am). Emmie's site is super but all tin and no thought makes Jack a dull, dull boy. So I'm taking up dual citizenship.

Annie, real good to see you. The posts are still a bit light here. Symptom of so many fractured sites.
Hope you stick around and rekindle the fire that was once LATOC.
    :-)
    Welcome.

I am behind in the welcoming! I see JBHB, KathyPrepper and Miss Annie are here, whoot!
And a hearty welcome to jibberjabber as well.

"Some tin-foilers can connect dots that others cant see and some connect dots that aren't there."

Funny way to put it, but very true. I've had a few eye openers with successful dot connectors.

Thanks BSC! I was getting a bit queasy on a steady diet of tin! Needs me vegetables.

Thanks Alex! I'm quite busy IRL but do like my imaginary friends who "get it" so will be here some.
    Peace ~

Thanks for registering me Alex. Loves me the DOOM! I will probably lurk more here than post - and post more often at SC1.
LOVE having both forums - and thank you to those who have made me feel so much more welcomed than I did in my brief delurking at LATOC.
Anyone heard from Lady T or Dermot? Would like to know that they are OK.

Lady T is doing well, and I think Dermot is pretty busy, but as far as I know they are fine.
    And welcome!

Hi all, I joined the sister site so I figured I should be here as well. Lots of familiar names and hope to "meet" new ones as well. For the sake of keeping it simple I kept the same user name (my initials, memory isn't so good LOL). Too bad about about the LATOC site, I did get an education there as well as a lot of laughter.

Thanks to the owner(s) of this site for having me and I wish you much success!
